About our Studio and Team

In 2017 Violet Floral, a floral studio serving weddings and events in Baltimore, Maryland, was founded by floral designer Mallory Jones out of a deep joy found in making special occasions beautiful with flowers, and a passion for using creativity to provide a service to others. Mallory works with a growing team of creative, hardworking people to bring beautiful floral visions to life at Baltimore weddings.

Flowers have the potential to be one of the most personalized and unique parts of your wedding, and it’s our job to bring designs to life for your big day that feel like they are truly yours. The thought of pulling together all of the details of a wedding can be incredibly daunting. We help translate your unique vision into the language of flowers, and we bring to life floral designs for your big day that really feel like you. During your consultation, we will help identify beautiful and in-season flowers that will look perfect at your wedding, and a custom floral plan designed just for your day. With creativity and professional expertise, your flowers will come together beautifully, and because we offer full-service packages covering everything from the consultation to event setup and teardown, that means you can check “flowers” off your to-do list, and we take care of everything else!

Local Blooms

We love local flowers and local farms, and believe a commitment to sourcing as many flowers as possible from local growers is critical to reducing our environmental footprint. We’re committed to using sustainable, reusable design tools, avoiding environmentally-unfriendly floral foam, and promoting the use and reuse of rental items at weddings.

Mallory brings more than a decade of floral and event experience, and is passionate about sustainability and artistry in floral design. You and your planner will collaborate with Mallory on the floral vision for your wedding throughout the planning process.

Alyssa Mottas (she/her)

STUDIO MANAGER

With a background in the beauty and hospitality industries, Alyssa brings hard work and poise to every wedding. She has been part of the Violet Floral team since 2022 and became our Studio Manager in 2024.
